Medication Delivery: Medications are given with assistance by our well-trained nursing staff. We keep in close contact with pharmacies and our residents' doctors regarding prescriptions, reorders and dispensing times.

Oxygen: Oxygen therapy assistance is monitored by our trained staff as ordered by the physician.

Podiatry Services: A local podiatrist visits us regularly to assist residents with podiatric (foot) problems and maintenance.

Visiting Nurses: Our staff works with the local visiting nurse associations from surrounding counties, as ordered by the residents’ physicians. This can include Hospice and other specialized services. Services are usually covered by insurance.

Lab Services: A certified staff member from the Lab at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital visits our residence weekly to take labs as ordered by a physicians. There is no additional charge to a resident for the lab tech to come to our location.

On-Site X-Ray: When x-rays are ordered by a physician, they can be taken on-site by a registered lab technician so the resident does not need to travel.

Escorts: Our staff members can escort a resident to and from appointments when family members are unavailable.

Van Services: C.A.R.T. & C.A.R.S. vans can be scheduled for appointments or personal errands both in Huntingdon and Mifflin counties.

Beauty Shop: Beauty salon services are offered weekly on-site by a licensed beautician. Services include haircuts, styles and perms, manicures and pedicures as well as special men care regiments.

Laundry Services: Complete laundry or outside dry cleaning, with pickup and delivery service, are available.

Hospice Services: While we do not admit people currently receiving Hospice Services, Hospice is an option for our long term residents who wish to age-in-place, as an alternative to going to a Nursing Home. A variety of Hospice Services are available in our area for a family to choose from.

On-Site Rehab Facility: Our fully-equipped and staffed outpatient Rehab Center provides physical, occupational, and speech therapies on an individual one-on-one basis. Our residents are guided through a personalized program of goals established with input from their physician, family, and our staff. We strive to improve the quality of life for each resident and maintain their personal independence. We continually monitor the status of our clients and discuss needs with their personal physicians. Rehab services are usually covered by insurance when ordered by a physician. Visit our Rehab page for more information.

Mealtimes: Realizing that meals are an integral part of healthy living and a great chance to socialize, we design our menus and dining rooms for an enjoyable experience. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in our spacious dining room overlooking rolling country meadows. Our dining room has been divided to allow privacy for family get-together's and visits. Weather permitting, meals and/or snacks may also be enjoyed outside in our courtyard. In the summer, we have a weekly luncheon cookout. Breakfast hours are extended to those residents who wish to sleep later. Snacks are also provided at 10am, 2pm & 8pm. Many residents keep a small refrigerator in their rooms as well.

Activities: We offer a wide variety of activities to keep residents engaged. Activities include entertainment, bus trips, outdoor picnics, lunch at local restaurants, bible studies, church services, crafts, Wii games, instruction on using the internet and email, and visits to local senior centers.
